Swansea Libraries

Our city campus in Swansea is home to two libraries available to all our students. The Swansea Business Campus is home to our library in our city centre location near the Swansea College of Art and close to much of the student accommodation in the city. Down in our brand new Innovation Quarter you will find Y Fforwm our newest library with breathtaking views of Swansea Bay, Swansea’s Docks and the Tawe River.

Study Rooms First Floor

  • Accessible entrances are located on either side of the building.
  • Lift access is available on all floors.
  • Accessible toilets are available on all floors.
  • Accessible water fountains on all floors.
  • Our book and journal collections are located on the second floor.
  • The library enquiry desk is located on the first floor and self-issue machines are located on the first and second floors.
  • There is a book drop for book returns on the ground floor.
  • Lockers are located on the first floor and keys can be loaned daily.
  • Vending machines managed by Catering Services staff are available on the ground floor.
  • The ground floor also hosts an exhibition space for showing students’ work, external exhibitors, and items from our Special Collections and Archives.

Tours of Y Fforwm are available all year round to individual users and groups of up to 15. Further information on tours and how to book is available below.

  • Tours should be booked at least three days in advance using the library tours booking form.
  • The maximum number of students per tour is 15.
  • Each tour will take around 30 minutes.
  • Library tours cover the basics of using our library spaces and borrowing physical items.
