Monographs, Book Chapters and Edited Collections

If you are writing a monograph, a book chapter or preparing an edited collection, it is important to consider Open Access at an early stage.  Several research funders including UKRI now include long form publications in their Open Access policies.  UWTSD requests that researchers deposit copies of their long form publications in the Research Repository ensure compliance with any future REF requirements.

Before you submit your long form publication (update links)

When you submit your long form publication

  • Always use your UWTSD email address and your ORCID, and clearly state University of Wales Trinity Saint David as your institution.

After your publication has been accepted for publication

  • Act on acceptance!  Deposit your final Author’s Accepted Manuscript in the Research Repository
  • Forward the publisher’s email confirming acceptance to openaccess@uwtsd.ac.uk along with the date of publication, if known, as evidence of the acceptance date for the University’s REF submission.
  • If you are unsure of the publication date at the time of acceptance, please don’t delay your deposit – make a note to contact openaccess@uwtsd.ac.uk with the publication date as soon as this is confirmed
  • If your work is subject to an embargo period, please don’t delay your deposit – our Open Access team will apply the embargo on your behalf to ensure compliance with your chosen publisher’s policies.
  • Please allow at least 14 days for the Open Access team to process your deposit.
